Complex Oak Tree Removal on Heim Rd, Mount Dora

On Wednesday, July 10th, our team took on a challenging project on Heim Road, Mount Dora, for a customer named Mitchell. The task was to remove a large oak tree to make way for an addition to the back of his house. This job required meticulous planning and execution due to several unique issues.

Our team arrived at 8:45 AM and began dismantling a fence section to allow our lift and equipment to access the backyard. Once the lift was in place, we faced the task of carefully roping and lowering each piece of the oak tree. This was essential to prevent damage to the surrounding landscape and structures close to the house. The debris had to be hauled 200-300 yards down a bike path to an area where a grapple truck could pick it up.

We discovered a beehive within one of the tree’s cavities as we progressed. This unexpected issue required us to pause the job and quickly call in an exterminator to handle the bees safely. The delay added three hours to our schedule but was necessary to ensure the safety of our team and the surrounding environment.

This removal was one of the most technically demanding jobs we had ever undertaken. Every step required careful consideration and coordination to navigate the tight space and protect the property. The entire process, from removing the fence to dealing with the beehive, was a testament to our team’s ability to adapt and manage complex situations
