Dead Laurel Oak Removal and Tree Elevation in Altamonte Springs on White Oak Dr.
On Wednesday, September 25th, our team completed a tree maintenance project on White Oak Dr. The customer, Tim, needed a dead laurel oak removal and tree elevation in Altamonte Springs over his house in preparation for the upcoming hurricane season from his front yard.
We arrived at 8:30 AM to begin the job. The removal of the dead oak tree was essential not only for safety but also to prevent any potential damage that could occur during high winds. Elevating the branches over the house was another crucial task, as overhanging branches pose a significant risk in the event of a storm. This kind of preventative tree care helps to minimize potential hazards and protect the home.
A unique challenge we faced during this job was the need to rope almost every branch we cut. This was to ensure that no debris damaged the house or the landscape below. Tim was particularly concerned about his jasmine plants, which were carefully shaped and growing at the base of the tree. We made sure to trim the tree with precision, avoiding any harm to the jasmine, much to the customer’s satisfaction.
During the job, we encountered a flat tire on our bobcat, but we acted quickly, replacing the tire in time to complete the work as scheduled. This didn’t slow us down, and we were able to finish by 1 PM, within the expected timeframe.
Overall, this 4.5-hour job demonstrated our commitment to precision and efficiency. If you’re interested in learning more about proper tree maintenance techniques for hurricane preparedness, you might find the ISA’s tree risk management guidelines to be an insightful resource.
By the end of the project, Tim’s yard was safer, and his home was better protected from the potential risks posed by the upcoming hurricane season.
